Robert Alan Boonstra

Robert “Bob” Alan Boonstra, age 88, of Belmont, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Bob was a kind and loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and great-great grandpa who was blessed with a gentle spirit and a contagious smile. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He retired from Forest Hills Schools after 25 years of dedicated service. Bob was blessed with the gift of music where he played the violin and enjoyed singing. He was also a talented woodworker, making many beautiful items over the years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Audrey; children, Cindy Beight, Karen Rollins, Dianna and Jim Pullen, Denise and Mitch Schutter; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Sharon and Jim Withers; several loving nieces and nephews. At Bob’s request, private services will be held. Because of the compassionate care given to Bob, the family requests memorial contributions be given to Gentiva Hospice.
