Richard Whip Jr. , age 79, of Wyoming, was called into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus, on Saturday, August 27, 2016. He was preceded in death by his six brothers and sisters. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Caroline, his children, Roger and Nancy Whip and Brenda Whip; granddaughter, Michelle; sister Betty (Raymond) Durtche, and many nieces and nephews. Rich was a loving, caring family man who enjoyed spending time camping, fishing and biking. He loved eating just about anything. In their younger years the kids could reach into Rich’s suit coat and always find his favorite pink peppermints. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Chapel, 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville, MI 49418 with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Hospice.

My dear family. Sorry about your loss. When the enemy death strikes, the sting of death can be very painful, and can leave us with emotions that are hard to understand. Know that when you pour out your heart to God (Psalms 83:18) in prayer, He will give you that Peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your thinking and your heart. May the family stay together during this difficult times.
