Remembering Richard “Todd” Witteveen

Richard “Todd” Witteveen, age 55, of Jenison, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday. June 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Witteveen; and brother, Scott Witteveen. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years, Brenda; children, Rachael (Nathan) Martens, Richard Taylor Witteveen; grandchildren, Trevor, Trenton and Kolton Martens; mother, Gloria (Jim) Schutz; and niece, Morgan (Doug) Kleinjans. Todd will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, his contagious laugh and smile, passion for his kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events, love for his family and the way he lived life to the fullest. He was the co-owner of Lake Effect Saw and Tool with his best friend Brian Vankampen. An open house to celebrate Todd’s life will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at the Wallinwood Springs Golf Club, 8152 Weatherwax Dr., Jenison, MI 49428.

I was so very sorry to hear of your loss. Has me thinking back to many fun youth group and school memories that Todd was such a big part of. One of my favorites - On a snow day Todd convinced me that we should “borrow” my Dad’s snowmobile. We spent the day riding all over Jenison and visiting friends. So nice to see, from the posts I’ve read, that he never lost that fun mischievous personality. Thoughts are with your family during this time of loss. ❤️

So sorry to hear about Big Todd's passing. He was always with a smile no matter where we would meet. He was a good friend that i always enjoyed spending time with. In Atlanta one year he came up behind me and lifted me up in a bear hug on Peach Tree, surprising all others around us. God bless and RIP. Condolences to the family.
