Richard R. Marks, age 79, of Rockford, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 9, 2024. He proudly served his country in the US Army Special Forces and infantry for 7 years. Richard retired as a salesman from J. Mollema & Co. where he enjoyed serving his customers and established many friendships. Above all, his love and commitment to his family will be forever cherished. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Marks; and his brother, George Marks, Jr. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Patricia; his children, Alexis Greene of Denver, CO; Paige and Chris Nolan of Greenville, MI; his grandchildren, Aidan, Ciara, Aric, Jake, and Cassidy; brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Patricia Marks of Pottstown, PA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lee and Christine Peroni of Las Vegas, NV. At Richard’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will be having a private memorial gathering.
