Richard Robert Paske, age 85, of Kentwood, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019. Richard “Dick” was born September 10, 1933 in Sheboygan, WI to Arthur and Amanda Paske. He was an active 51-year member of Ascension Lutheran Church of Kentwood. Richard is survived by his son, Rick Paske and wife, Carolyn; his son, Bob Paske; his daughter, Susan Eckert; eight grandchildren, ages 16 to 31, and two great-grandchildren.  Richard lived a full, rewarding life including graduating with BS degrees in Naval Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, serving as a Naval officer, flying airplanes, working as an electrical engineer and raising three children with his beloved wife, Peg.  He enjoyed many hobbies and activities including buying/selling/fixing up automobiles, coaching little league baseball, assembling/working on computers, cooking/grilling, playing cards and visiting with family.  He also enjoyed volunteering at the polling booths for elections.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held on Friday August 9, 2019 at 2 PM at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE with Pastor Mike Wernick officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 1 PM to 2 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Cake and ice cream will be served after the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church.
