Richard Rice

Richard Douglas Rice, age 80, of Wyoming, left his earthly “bodysuit” and met Jesus face to face on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Rick worked for over 25 years at Hudson’s Department Store and 16 years at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Bonnie (Freybler) Rice; children, Craig Stark, Christine and Rick Warner, Cara Stark, Colleen and Lee Pittman; 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; twin brother, Ron Rice; sister, Barb Todd; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Women at Risk International or Faith Hospice.
