Family owned and operated for over 85 years.
Richard R. Roscoe, age 68, of Kentwood, was called home to be with his Lord on Monday, February 16, 2026. Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing he is at rest. Richard was born in Chicago, IL, to the late Robert Sr. and Anne (Paulikas) Roscoe, where he was raised in Cicero, IL and later in Downers Grove, IL.
If you ever met Rich, you already know he was never meant to be a quiet person in a quiet world. He was the life of the party, the one turning the music up when everyone else was turning it down, and the first onto the dance floor whenever disco came. He loved fast cars, all things bacon and anything that went “boom”. He lived loud, smiled big and made sure nobody around him stayed a stranger for long.
He had a way of making people feel instantly welcome, usually with a joke, a story, or making you feel uncomfortable whether you planned to be or not. Time spent with him was never boring, and silence was never his style.
Behind the humor and energy was a deeply loving man who cared fiercely for his family and friends. He showed his love in his own way, by showing up, fixing things, making people laugh when they needed it most, and reminding us not to take life quite so seriously.
Our hearts are broken, but we are grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every moment he filled with life. The world will feel a little quieter without him, but we know wherever he is, the music is loud, the jokes never end, and he’s already made new friends.
Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sue Roscoe; children, Alex (Hollie) Roscoe, Stacy Hoover, Nikki Krzykwa, CJ Krzykwa; grandchildren, Amaya, Rylee, Carter, Sydnie, Charlee; siblings, Robert (Linda) Roscoe, Jr., Rosanne (Jeff) Grigoletti, Ron (Mary) Roscoe; nieces and nephews, Amy (Brad) Heyman, Mark (Rachel) Grigoletti, Veronica (John) Claffy, Allison (Mitch) McGuire, Dana Roscoe; great nieces and nephews, Claire, Darren, Paige Heyman, Lucy Grigoletti, and Molly Claffy.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, February 20 from 4-8 pm, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming. In addition, there will be a memorial visitation on Saturday, February 21 at 10am and a Celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming.
