Richard “Rich” John McCord, age 43, of Holland, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, John McCord, his grandfather and his grandmother “Gigi”, Stanley and Marvella Mathews and mother-in-law, Nancy Kladder. Rich was a loving husband, dad, and paw paw who dearly loved his family. He was blessed with a strong work ethic and worked as a truck driver and mechanic at Michigan West Shore Nursery for the past 20 years. Rich had a love of the outdoors taking many rides on his motorcycle. He was also a sports enthusiast, especially cheering on Sunday’s for his Seattle Seahawks football. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kassandra; his children, Carlos Quintana, Jeffory Quintana, Gerald McCord, Adrian McCord; his granddaughter who he was “paw paw” to, Maila Rose Quintana; mother, Judy Marino; his father-in-law, Gerald Kladder; his siblings, Chris McCord, Mikael and Berta McCord; several loving extended family and friends. A private celebration of Rich’s life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.
