I had not seek Rick in many years, as university and especially career took me far away from western Michigan, but I remember him fondly and vividly from when we were teens. Many times I went fishing with Rick and his Dad, who drove us to Thornapple River in his Rambler. I can safely say that 90% of what I learned about fishing was learned from Rick and his Dad. I also remember Rick playing a metal top guitar; he loved his music! Finally, although I was 2 years younger than Rick, he frequently invited me to join in pick-up baseball games at the nearby baseball fields at 44th and Jefferson. Thought you might enjoy hearing a bit about him from his teen years!

Girls, your dad was such a blessing to others. We kept up through Facebook. So sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your families.
