Richard Alan Klinge, Sr. age 88, of Allendale, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Beatrice; brothers, Roger Klinge, Don Klinge; and nephew, Roger Klinge, Jr. Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Deta; children, Sheryl and Jeffrey Dupilka, Richard Jr. and Pam Klinge, Carol and James Wellington, Dale and Vicki Klinge, Kevin and Holly Klinge; grandchildren, Brianna and Diego Rodriguez, Sarah Reed, Case and Marie Wellington, Benjamin and Anna Dupilka, Brooke Wellington, Logan Klinge; siblings and in-laws, Maria and Dick Hanes, Versal and Gloria Klinge, Robert and Peggy Klinge, Phyllis Klinge. Richard proudly served in the Navy Reserves. He retired from General Motors as a tool maker. He was an avid gardener and loved his family and reading the Bible. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 1 pm until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Holland.
