Richard Jay Donnelly

Richard “Dick” Jay Donnelly, age 74, of Grandville, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, April 10, 2017. He retired from the Grandville DPW after 33 years of dedicated service. Dick was a life time member of the American Legion Post #179. Dick was a kind and generous man who established many friendships along life’s path. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his mother, Lena. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Loren Kraker; his father, Harry Donnelly; step daughters, Peggy and Keith Doornbos, Tammy and Mark Beasley; his brother, Ken Donnelly; sister, Sue and Paul Lidgard; several step grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday 1 pm at Matthysse- Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Pastor Dan Furman officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Faith Hospice - Trillium Woods or to Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
