Richard Hammett

HAMMETT - Mr. Richard N. Hammett, aged 81, of Wyoming, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Nellie Hammett; his brothers, Harold Hammett and Willard Hammett. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Hammett; children, Linda (Eric) Van Over, Cindy (Randy) Wells, Cathy Hammett, Christine Hammett; 6 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother, William (Connie) Hammett; sister, Helen Blackburn; sister-in-law, Melba Hammett; several nieces and nephews. Richard was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from McInerney Spring and Wire after many years of service. Richard will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, camping and all sports. The family will greet friends and relatives Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S.
