Richard Allen Withers

After a joyful weekend with his family, the sun set on the life of Richard “Red” Withers, age 71, on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Red was a loving father, and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family, and also spending time outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Withers. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Teressa and Dillon Funkhouser, Casey and Katie Withers; grandchildren, Madeline and Jacdillon; and grandpup, Roman; brother, Mike and Cass Withers; sister, Diane and Don DeRaad; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, 6 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 4-6 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
