To Alvina, and her family, Those of us who knew Pastor Bill through many years feel this loss very deeply. We grieve with you in the loss of a spiritual giant, a man who gave his life, his soul, his spirit, to his faithful Savior, Jesus Christ. Bill will always be remembered by my husband, Mark, and myself, as a bigger-than-life man who, at last, has entered his eternal home. He now wears the Crown of Righteousness, which was given to him by our Lord, Himself. I always felt a kinship with Bill, and his loving wife, Alvina, because I was the daughter of a minister, who actually was a seminary classmate of Bill's. Bill and Alvina stayed in touch with a number of those classmates for many, many years. When Mark and I joined Fellowship CRC in 2000, Bill and Alvina mentioned my parents many times, although my father had passed away in 1982. My husband, Mark, and I remember Bill and Alvina well from Bible Studies, and personal interactions that encouraged us through the years, and which sustained us through tough times. These memories burn brightly now, and I am so incredibly thankful for knowing Bill, who inspired us, and guided us with love and compassion through turbulent times. Bill talked the talk, and he walked the walk. He never wavered in his faith, and he never wavered in his love for others. May God grant him the rest and the peace that he so richly deserves.

We will always remember Pastor Huyser as a Godly man who influenced our spiritual life greatly. He is one of the reasons we joined Westwood as a newly married couple. Our hearts go out to you all and especially you, Alvina. We know he will be missed.

Bill, was very instrumental in my life. When I was 20 years old, I was a lost sole, did not know Christ. Bill and Elvina took me in their home for a few months, when I was in need and they did not preach to me but they lived the way of Christ and that was spoke volume to me. He was the key in my life in getting to know the Lord. Now, over 40 years later, My wife and I have four grown children of our own who are married and have children of their own, We raised them with Christ as the center of their life. This is all because God put Bill in my life. I consider myself as Bill and Elvina's adopted son. I for ever am grateful to have been blessed to know Bill. Ken
