Rene Winkler-Bakken

Rene Winkler-Bakken, age 50, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Rene was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, dog mom and dog grandmother. Rene dearly cherished her family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Solly and Lena Laurentius, Leo and Beulah Winkler; godmother, Shirley Bachmann; godfather, Lester Laurentius; dog, Wickett; and Granny Marjorie Compian. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 24 years, Jeremy Bakken; daughter, Zoe Bakken; mother and father, Richard and Ruth Winkler; brother and sister, Ray and Mary Winkler, Robyn Winkler; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Nature Conservancy.
