Rena Remtema

Rena Remtema, age 104, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 2, 2025. She was born at home November 10, 1920, to Derk and Ida Oosterheert. She was a member of Eighth Reformed Church for over 80 years. Rena was a person who put others before herself; she spent her life exemplifying kindness, love, and empathy. Even in her years being incapacitated she would keep up with family and friends on the phone. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Gordon; and daughter-in-law, Kathryn Remtema. Rena will be lovingly remembered by her children, Paul Remtema, and Mary Brooks; grandchildren, Hannah and Alex Pritchard, Megan and Christopher Miller, Jonathan Brooks, Krystal and Dustin Lennie, Adam and Jessica Falk, Apryl and John Tighe; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Edith Remtema; many nieces and nephews, loving neighbors, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton St. SW, Wyoming, 49509 with Pastor Harry Koops officiating. Burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday from 10 to 10:45 am at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Eighth Reformed Church.
