SWANSON - Regina Marie Swanson aged 85 passed away October 6, 2016 surrounded near and far by those who loved her. Having lived such a beautiful long life, she was preceded in death by many family and friends she loved and who loved her including her husband, Robert Swanson; daughter, Kathy Swanson Zavala; grandson, Jason Swanson; daughter-in-law, Sherrie Kubizna-Swanson; and her siblings, Milt, Gordon, and Beverly. She has left her love and legacy in the hearts of her remaining children, Robert (Denise) Swanson, Janet (Greg) Ryskamp, Dennis (Karen) Swanson, Sherrie (Frank) Tamburello, Randy (Sue) Swanson, Jody (Nina) Swanson, Kelly (Mike) McCarthy, and honorary son, Tom Henry; her 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren ; brother, Lynn (Sandy) Cudney; sister, Donna Quist; sister-in-law, Mildred (Milt) Cudney; best friends, Chuck and Joyce Swanson; and her many nieces and nephews. To all who knew her, she will never be forgotten! She was cherished by her children and worshipped by her grandchildren. She was kind, funny, humble, selfless, and her love knew no bounds. "Even the gorgeous royal chariots wear out; and indeed this body too wears out. But the teaching of goodness does not age; and so Goodness makes that known to the good ones" (Buddha). Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S.
