Raymond Paul Tarasiewicz

Raymond Paul Tarasiewicz, age 69, of Wyoming, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus, on November 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Walter Tarasiewicz. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Kompun Tarasiewicz; his daughter, Amanda McCarty; grandchildren, Richie IV and Caroline Ray McCarty; siblings, David (Karen) Tarasiewicz, Margaret Howard Tarasiewicz; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Ray was a warm, loving, caring husband, father and grandfather. He valiantly served in the U.S. Air Force in Thailand where he met Kompun. He was an avid bowler, winning many trophies over the years. Ray was a loyal supporter of Michigan Football and the Detroit Lions. He enjoyed rock and roll music and going to the casinos with Kompun. Ray was a dedicated employee of the General Motors Stamping Plant on 36th St. for over 30 years. A private burial will take place on Friday, January 27 at Resurrection Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held Thursday morning from 9 am to 12 pm at Spectrum Entertainment Complex, 5656 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 5 - 8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Kent County Animal Shelter.
