Raymond Gates

It is with great sadness that the family of Raymond Gates announces his passing after a long battle with cancer on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the age of 57. He grew up in California and later moved to Michigan where he found friendships that lasted him a lifetime. Raymond enjoyed camping up north and spending time with his puppy play time crew. He was a very loving, kind, caring, and generous person who will be greatly missed. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Kate; parents, Fred and Dorothy and sister, Leslie. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Zachary (Sarah) Gates; daughter, Salina DePue; step daughter Krystal Groendyk; step son, Kristopher Griffin; Grandson, Damien and Jaren; brother, Herb Gates; sister, Tina VanderVelde; and several nieces and nephews.
