Ray Clausen, age 82, of Jenison, went to be with his Savior, Christ Jesus on the morning of September 7th, 2015.  Surviving are his wife, Mutts (Marian); his daughter, Deb & Bob Busscher; and his sons: Kyle & Sue Clausen, Kevin & Carol Clausen; also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.  Among his many accomplishments, Ray is proud of founding Great Lakes Systems, Inc. in 1968, and prouder still that it is now under the management of its third generation.  He leaves behind a legacy of his strong faith in Christ Jesus.  He came to his faith by the help and example of his wife of 62 years and friend for over 70 years.  His faith was a joy he has passed on to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He also has left a legacy of commitment and love for his wife.  His first concern was always for his wife in whatever situation he was in. Finally, his children are so proud of the fact that, though he grew up without a father, he himself was a loving father.  Ray also proudly served in the U.S. Army.  A Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 6-8pm on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Adventures or Sunset Manor Legacy Foundation.

Dear Clausen Family, So sorry for the loss of your dad and grandpa. I will always remember "Uncle Ray's" famous "Mooo!" Dear family, Peace. Knew Mutts, brother Al C, and Ray since grade school. Counted them as dear friends who made a positive influence. Ray was intelligent, a natural leader, with a strong voice! So pleased that he gave sincere Christian care to Mutts and children. PtL. We look forward to joining Jesus with Ray soon--after our work here is done. Phil 1:21 Yvonne and Al BytworkAJ.4t.com 3Jo2

Dear Kyle, Kevin and family, Please accept my sincere condolences, I'm sure your dad will be greatly missed. I remember our boat ride several years ago, hearing stories of your dad and how he had developed an inventory tracking system for your business. It was obvious that you were proud of him and his efforts to "help" even though he had turned it over to the boys. What a comfort and joy our faith in Christ is in these moments. I'm so grateful that you and your family have the assurance that all is well with your dad. Thanks be to God! Rick and Diane Steinrock
