Randall Jack Hollemans, age 73, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 and is now home with Jesus running with the angels. Randy was a kind and loving soul with a heart full of generosity and joy, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, laughter, and adventure. Known for his great sense of humor and infectious smile, Randy brought joy into every room he entered. Randy was blessed with a strong work ethic, retiring from the State of Michigan after 32 years of faithful service. A true servant at heart, Randy dedicated his time and talents volunteering at his church, where he also sang in the choir. His unwavering commitment to helping others was a testament to his character and purpose. Randy was never one to sit still for long. An adventurer through and through, he loved the open road, especially when riding his cherished Harley-Davidson. His passion for life and his family was evident in the many special trips he took with his grandchildren—creating memories that will be treasured forever. A devoted Detroit Tigers fan, Randy rarely missed a game, always cheering on his team with the same enthusiasm he brought to every aspect of his life. Randy will be remembered as a man who lived fully, gave generously, and loved deeply. His legacy of faith, family, and fun lives on in all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Hollemans; parents, Donald and Anne Hollemans; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly and Warren Sleesman. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 18 years, Candy Hollemans; his children, Brooks Hollemans, Derek and Noreen Hollemans, Erik and Sarah Humes, Erin Wallace; his grandsons, Noah Schelling, and Sawyer Hollemans; his siblings, Debra Hollemans and Kurt Roscow, Terry and Marcia Hollemans; several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held 11 am Friday, May 23, 2025 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 1120 4 Mile Rd., NE, Grand Rapids, with Fr. Ayub Francis Nasar officiating.  Burial will take place at Fairplains Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 6-8 pm at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont, and on Friday from 10-11 am at church prior to the mass. The photo is just how I remember Randy..when I first met him. Super friendly smile with honest eyes. His humor was subtle, but clever. Great guy. He has a higher role now. My condolences to Candy and the family.
