Ralph James Klomparens, age 89, of Byron Center, formerly of Jenison, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 20, 2017. Ralph was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa that cherished his family. He was a Barber for over 40 years in the Grand Rapids area. Ralph was a charter member of Cottonwood Church in Jenison, giving of his time and talents in many ways. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Klomparens, Marjorie and Len Berkenpas; brothers, Ken Klomparens, Vern and Margaret Klomparens; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ermina and L.D. Norton. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Virginia; children, Jacquelyne and John Leppink, Rodney and Amy Klomparens, Karen and Keith Nichols; his grandchildren, Cory Nichols (Kayla), Tyler Nichols, Robert Leppink, Andrew Leppink, Arianna and Zechariah Meinke, Danisue, Alex, and Hope Klomparens; great grandchildren, Allan, Ashlyn, Lyllyan, Julien, Cory Jr.; sister, Shirley McClure; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carol Klomparens, Harold and Bonnie Yarrington, Dewayne and Doreen Yarrington; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 am at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress, Jenison, with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 4-7 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW.  In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to Jenison Christian School or to Cottonwood Church - The Gathering.
