Phyllis May (Alexander) Bussler, age 77, of Jenison, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Richard (Dick) Bussler; her parents, Marvin and Irene Alexander; her brothers and sisters, WT, Ray, Jesse, Henry, Terry, Ronnie, Joan, and Betty. Phyllis will be greatly missed by her son, Rusty (Patricia), and her daughters, Tami and Shelley (Clay) Lucas; grandchildren, Mandy, Alexandra, Samantha, Taylor, and Havyn; great granddaughter, Toryn (“my munchkin”); sisters, Estelle Cantu, Cindy (Dave) Bullock; brothers, Gary Alexander and Steve Alexander; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and Wolverine Printing Company, where she retired from after 25 years. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt and friend. Most of her life she really enjoyed going out on the boat with family and friends and spending time at the cottage in Cadillac. She loved her years of bowling, line dancing, and belonging to the Red Hat Society. May our Lord God and Savior keep her in the palm of His hands until we all meet again. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Fr. John Vallier presiding. Burial at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 6 - 8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming and one hour prior to Mass on Thursday at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan.
