Phyllis Joyce Wiers

Phyllis Joyce Wiers, age 82, of Kentwood, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 22, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Wiers; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Rick and Heather Wiers, Susan and Edward Moorhead; grandchildren: Samantha and Evan Smith, Charlie Moorhead, Andrew Moorhead; sister, Sharon Schippers; sister-in-law, Beverly Natte; brother-in-law, Don Cronkright; many nieces and nephews.  According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.  Phyllis worked at Monroe Inc. for 30 years.  She loved to travel.  She loved laughing and joking around with her family.  She enjoyed the casino and playing games.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.  Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2020 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Metro Health Foundation.  The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Metro Health Hospital for the loving care of Phyllis.
