Phyllis Flater

FLATER - Mrs. Phyllis D. Flater, aged 76 of Grand Rapids, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nannie Johnson, brother, Giles and sister Arlys. Surviving are her Husband, Lawrence Flater; children, Bruce (Linda) Flater, Denise R. Swallow, Marsha (Steve) Crane; grandchildren, Christopher (Angie) Flater, Michelle Swallow, Jennifer Kaliniak, Cody Crane, Tawny Crane, Andy (Diane) Parker, Casey (Faryal) Parker, Tracey (Brad) Kindall; great grandchildren; Audrey and Caden Kaliniak, Henry, Margot and Bernard Kindall, Maxwel, Lillian and Ella Parker; sisters, Faye McMillen, Darlene (Ralph) Paulson, Eileen (Leon) Shotley, brother-in-law, Fred Hanson; several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was a member of the American Legion Aux., Rockford Sportsmen's Club and retired from Hartford Ins. Co. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE with Pastor John Gooch officiating. Interment Blythefield Memory Gardens. The family will greet relatives and friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Roadbed Ministries.
