Phyllis Acterhoff

Phyllis Acterhoff, age 96, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord whom she loved and served faithfully on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Phyllis worked at BHS insurance for many years. In her later years, Phyllis enjoyed volunteering at the mission store, reading, traveling, and camping. She was an animal lover and had a fondness for butter pecan ice cream. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Wilbert “Bill”; daughter, Joy Patrice; sister, Harriet and Bob TerHaar. Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gayle and Glenn Timmer, Dawn and Rick Woodwyk, Diane and Ron Voisinet; grandchildren, Moni and Tim Sadler, Josh Timmer and Diana Tsai, Jessa Timmer and Marco Ceze, Amber Woodwyk, Kyle Woodwyk, Zach Woodwyk, Cassidy Voisinet; great-grandchildren, Bethani, Zeke, McCann, Meadow, Fynlan, Scout, Kinslee, and Nino; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor James Evenhouse officiating. Burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10-10:45 am prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Legacy Foundation.
