Philip James Martin

Philip James Martin, age 60, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Philip graduated from Godwin Heights High School and Kendall College of Art and Design. He had a passion for creating art, poetry, and loved nature. Phil had a good heart, was very kind, compassionate and fun loving. Creating fun memories with his children and grandchildren was a highlight of his life. He really enjoyed live music, fishing and camping. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Jason Martin, Amber and Brandon VanDrunen; grandchildren: Shamoree, James, Ashlynn, Allison, Noah, Jacob; father, James Martin; sister and brother: Vickie Urbanski, Dean and Catherine Martin; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at MKD Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood.
