Peter J. Peterson, age 86, of Hudsonville, born on October 6, 1932 joined the host of angels praising his Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.  Pete enjoyed whistling and singing and sang in many choirs.  He was a kind and humble man of strong faith and prayer who willingly shared his love of Jesus.  Pete was employed at Kelvinator until its closing and then worked at Raybrook Manor until his retirement.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Leanore (Norie); children, Mark Peterson of San Antonio, TX, Maribeth and Vern Spoelstra of Broomfield, CO, Thomas and Susan Peterson of Grosse Pointe, MI; grandchildren, Ashley and Zach Kushner (Coralee, Gideon, Ava), Zach and Molly Spoelstra, Bayard King, Noah Peterson, Colin Peterson; siblings, twin brother John (Vicki - deceased) Peterson, Jack and Shari Peterson; Kari and Jack Lanning; brother-in-law, Jack (Fran - deceased) VanderArk; sisters-in-law, Carol Bogema, Joan Formsma; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Jake Weeda officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 6-8 pm and also on Saturday from 10 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Baruch Senior Ministries.  Our family would like to express our gratitude to Spectrum Health Hospice and Cambridge Manor for the wonderful care that Pete received.
