Perry Charleston, age 57, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 13, 2019, and went to be with the Lord. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of eight years, Brenda; his children, Ashanti, Kiana, and Perry Jr., his mother, Alice “Pauline” Charleston; brothers and sister, Billy Ray Charleston, Toni and Alvin McCuller, Richard Charleston; parents-in-law, Jerry and Vicky Berens, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brad and Betsy Berens, Nicholas and Erin Berens, Nicole and Ian Bouman; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt Charleston, and brothers, Roosevelt Charleston Jr., Jeffrey Charleston, Samuel Charleston, (twin) Terry Charleston, Joseph Charleston. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. For those who wish, contributions may be given to the needs of the family.
