Penny Sue Burnett

​Penny Sue Burnett, age 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Penny grew up in Grandville and Belding, and graduated from Belding High School in 1978, as well as Montcalm College with a license in cosmetology. She was a proud owner of Dust Bunny Cleaners and ran her business full-time until starting a job with Wolverine Apparel. She enjoyed working hard to support her family. She had a passion for caring for anyone in need and she often volunteered for The American Red Cross. Penny cherished spending time with her family and grandkids. She also enjoyed going on spontaneous road trips, whether to Frankenmuth, Grand Haven, Mackinac, or any nearby beach. She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor, her caregiving heart, and love for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald “Jerry” and Diane Rawlings and brother, Michael Rawlings. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tiffany (Greg) Haven, Josh (Jessica) Smith, Brenton (Tiffany Qualls) Holbrook; partner, Michael Osborn; grandchildren, Emerson and Ashlynn Haven, Landon and Jacob Ottesen, Easton and Makenna Smith, Elizabeth and Michael Qualls, Isabella Holbrook; brothers, Jeff (Robin) Rawlings, Doug (Sam) Rawlings; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family also extends special thanks to Penny’s dear friend, Kim Krouse, for her love, support, and care. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, October 14 at Frontline Community Church, 4411 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids. Entombment will take place at Blythefield Memory Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family for visitation Thursday from 5-8 pm at MKD Stegenga Funeral Home, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont and from 10-11 am prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Penny with an act of kindness or generosity to someone in need, or send a donation to The American Red Cross or a charity of your choice.
