Pauline Caroll Poelman

Pauline Caroll Poelman, age 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Poelman, a World War II veteran; her parents, John and Anna Rozema; brothers, John Rozema and Dale Rozema. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Dr. Gary (Gloria) Poelman of Norton Shores, Thomas Poelman of Grand Rapids; granddaughters, Amie (Tim) Rickert, Lisa (Brandon) Riley; sister, Mary Wager; sister-in-law, Mildred Rozema; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; special friends and acquaintances. Pauline was a devoted mother and grandmother who faithfully supported both of her son’s activities. Her many friends and relatives will remember her vivacious, infectious laughter and positive attitude. She was a long standing member of Calvary Church serving in many capacities, including helping others find their way around the church complex. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. In honoring her request, there will not be any services. Interment will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, next to her husband. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Calvary Church or the American Cancer Society.
