Pauline Bauer

BAUER - Pauline May Hazen Bauer, aged 90, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011. Pauline was born in Hopkins, MI, to her parents, Imo and Harry Hazen. She attended Wayland High School. After high school Pauline joined the Navy to be a nurse, and was stationed in California. There she met and married Nicholas Bauer, a veteran of Pearl Harbor. They returned to Michigan and started a family. Pauline gave birth to 3 daughters, Christine, Merle and Suzanne, and was blessed with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pauline was a registered nurse for 30 years at St Mary's Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed helping at the Vets facility, D.A.V., and loved relaxing at Ox Bow Park in the summer, socializing with her "camping" friends. Pauline will be missed by many, but not forgotten. She had a wonderful long life. Rest in peace. We love you. A celebration of Pauline's life will be held 11:00AM Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S.
