Paul Warren Schipper (Skip), age 85, of Grand Haven, passed away to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and camping. Paul especially enjoyed his friends and years of camping at Leelanau Pines Campground. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Schipper; son, Brett Schipper; son-in-law, Doug VanderWall; brother, Ken Schipper; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Betty Stahl. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Donna Schipper; children, Tammy and Boyd Slusser, Todd and Maria Schipper, Barb and Scott Stuive, Tim and Lisa Schipper, Paula and Jeremy Veltema; stepchildren, Brenda and Andy Maycroft, Brad and Dee Maycroft, Tina VanderWall, Brian and Kathy Maycroft; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim and Char Schipper, Marilyn Schipper, Lois and Ed Langerak; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Sharon Hulin, Jackie and John Weathers; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Rusk Christian Reformed Church, 10354 92nd Ave., Allendale, with Pastor Mark Neymeiyer officiating. The burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, May 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 6651 Scott St., Allendale. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Holland.
