Patsy Kooistra, age 80, of Lansing, passed away at Trillium Woods on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, following a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ron; children and grandchildren, Barb and Randy Bullock (Josh, Alyssa), Brenda and Grant Bellamy (Janelle, Jessica), and Ron Kooistra; and great-grandchildren, Ryker, Emmett, Warren, and Abigail Grace; sister, Carol and Robert Johnston; many nieces and nephews. Pat was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was cherished by her family. She had the spiritual gift of encouragement and was a trusted friend and confidant to those around her. Pat was a person who loved with great love, and she will be missed by all who knew her. She served as a Sunday school teacher and deaconess for many years, and also worked in the church nursery taking care of and rocking babies. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Jamestown) 2371 Riley St., Hudsonville, with Pastor Todd Ponstein officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10 to 10:45 prior to the service.
