Patricia Lee (Bartos) Sandel, VanEss, age 79, of Grandville, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 24, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Elaine Bartos and two sisters, Sandy Bandenieks and Carol (Fred) Marger. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Don; her children, Kim (Tom) Hassevoort, Denise (Eric) Horoky, and Chris Sandel; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Delores Johnson, Joe Bartos and Ellen Crow; and her two stepchildren, Rich VanEss and Shawn Lenger. Her interests and joy revolved around her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, holiday and backyard family gatherings, camping with her sisters, yearly vacations with her daughter and grandchildren, and dancing. She also enjoyed practical jokes with her son, Chris. Patricia was gracious, humorous, fun-loving, generous, and always ready for a new adventure. Per her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no visitation or service.
