Patricia Jean Kinney, age 84, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Scott Kinney.  Pat will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, Ray; children, Karen and Scott Kidder, Laura Gonzalez, Holly and Timothy Velting, Kim and Jeff Buchert; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Ferwerda, Charlene Smith; extended family and friends.  Pat enjoyed traveling, walking and tending to her garden and flowers.  She was a faithful “military wife” supporting Ray through his 21 years of service with the Air Force.  Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, November 2 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Ken Myers officiating.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, November 1, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
