Patricia Daresh Jasick

​Early on June 12, 2024, Patricia Daresh Jasick of Dowagiac Michigan, passed into Heaven, in the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. We praise and thank God that Pat is finally free from the pain and suffering of cancer, and will live all of eternity in the presence and glory of God. Pat, daughter of Bruno Daresh and Edna (Sarabyn) Daresh, grew up on her nearly centennial family farm in Dowagiac. She met her husband Greg 54 years ago while attending Western Michigan University. She taught math for 37 years in Grand Rapids Public Schools and loved teaching. Pat had a passion for traveling, especially with her daughter Julie and son in law David. She loved swimming in her pool or any pool, shopping for bargains, wintering in Florida with her husband Greg, and she loved spending time laughing with her son Gregory and her close friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Gregory Allen Jasick; children: Julie and David DeWitt, Gregory Daresh Jasick; step-grandson, Darin DeWitt; sisters: MaryAnn (David) Wallace, Nancy (Dennis) Williams; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Deb Jasick, Karen (Doug) Bischoff, Wayne (Penny) Jasick; and her many nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Edna Daresh; niece, Lisa Morris (Wallace). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1253 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Peter Vu presiding. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac, Michigan. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 9-10 a.m. at the church prior to the service. According to Pat’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made to Beautiful You in lieu of flowers.
