Patricia Alice Thomas

Patricia Alice Thomas, age 84, of Caledonia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Pat graduated from Wayland High School in 1955. She married her husband, Joseph in 1959. Together they raised four children. A hobby that Pat shared with Joseph over the years involved traveling across the country for field trials and competitions with bassets and beagles, raising over 50 champions. Pat was an avid reader. Some of her favorite pastimes included sewing, crafting, crossword puzzles, and going on Sunday drives for ice cream. An active member of Holy Family Church, she enjoyed volunteering anywhere help was needed. She cherished spending time with her kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews. Pat will be greatly missed for her friendship, caring heart, and love for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes Belka; son, Michael T. Thomas; siblings, Thomas (Edna Lou) Belka, Eugene Belka, Stephen Belka, James Belka; brother-in-law, Raymond Batts. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Thomas; children, Gary Thomas, Michele (Gary) Hutchins, Kenneth (Jana) Thomas; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; siblings, Mary Jo Batts, John (Lisa) Belka, Richard (Kathleen) Belka, Cynthia Belka; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am Friday, December 16 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft Ave SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Michael Cilibraise officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family for visitation on Friday from 10 - 11:30 am prior to the service at church. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
