Pamela Rebecca Leiter, age 76, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of August 19, 2026.

Pamela is survived by her daughter, Misti; her grandchildren, Nathan (Roby) and Shelby; her great-granddaughter, Noelle; her sister, Midge (Marty); her nieces and nephews, Rebecca, Niki, Ginger, Wendy, and Marty; her great-niece, Chloe Rebecca; and her great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria Weaver and Bob Brown; her sister, Bobbie; her longtime partner, Tom Rasch; and her beloved soul dog, Parker.

Pamela had a deep love for nature and found great joy in caring for the wildlife around her home. She delighted in feeding the deer and offering peanuts to the squirrels. An avid plant lover, she filled her surroundings with life and greenery. She especially enjoyed propagating her plants and sharing what she grew with family and friends, allowing a little piece of her care to take root in the homes of those she loved.

Pamela also loved visiting wineries, where she enjoyed sharing a glass of wine, laughter, and good conversation with friends and loved ones. She enjoyed traveling, taking hot-air balloon rides, and sharing adventures around the country with her sister, Midge.

Pamela will be remembered for her deep love of family, her tender care for animals and nature, and her appreciation for life’s simple joys. Her memory will live on in the special moments she created with those she loved and in the plants she so generously shared. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service honoring Pamela’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10:30-11:00 am at the funeral home. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.
