Pamela Hansen

HANSEN - Pamela Kelly Hansen (McClurken), Sparta MI, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2019. Pam has left this world too soon but is now pain free and her family and friends have a beautiful angel watching over them. This past year and a half, she has taught us all how to fight whatever life brings to you and she did it with grace, dignity and humor. Pam graduated from Grandville High School in 1980 and continued her education at Grand Valley State University. She is survived by the love of her life, husband, Eric. Children Rick Ostrowski, Ashley Brewer, Cody Brewer (Brittany Newhouse), Joe (Nicci) Hansen, Jake Hansen, Josh (Alyssa) Hansen. Grandchildren Savanna, Scottie and Sawyer. Mother Rosemary McClurken, sister Nancy (Sid) Keuning, niece Kelly (Eric) Gelder, nephew Kyle Keuning (Carson Keuning, Brittany Hoskins). Mother and father in-law, Janice and Bob Hansen. Brother in-laws Dan (Erica) Hansen (nieces Anna, Emma), Mike (Laurie) Hansen (niece Samantha) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Ken McClurken. Last but not least her many friends which included the "Bad Apples" who were always there for her with encouragement, love and support along with her Sparta Moose Lodge family as well. Pam enjoyed her summers on Camp Lake, she loved a good gambling trip and loved to take road trips with her family and friends. She was the key behind many Moose Lodge events and fundraisers. Her family wishes to thank Lemmen-Holton Cancer Center and also wish to thank her employer Westside Beer for all of the support given to her and Eric along the way. She will be missed so much, but we are happy she is no longer suffering and is with her dad watching down on us all with her angel wings on. We were all blessed to have gotten time to talk with Pam, reminisce and laugh. She always brought humor to our talks. She brought sunshine to our lives and we will love her forever and will remember her with a smile- that's what she wanted. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 16 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 6390 Belmont Ave., Belmont. Pam's family will greet relatives and friends 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont and one hour prior to mass at the church on Tuesday.
