Owen Buurstra

BUURSTRA - Mr. Owen F. Buurstra, aged 84 of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 22, 2012. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Gerry (nee Van Houten); children, Jeff & Betsy Buurstra (Amanda (Alex) White, Allie), Jim & Missie Buurstra (Brittany, Brad, Bruce), John & Debbie Buurstra (Drake, Cade, Blair); sister-in-law, Amaryliss Buurstra; several nieces and nephews. Owen enjoyed sports, especially watching his grandchildren's sporting events, Tigers baseball and U of M football. In his retirement years he and Gerry took many trips in their motor home and spent several winters in Panama City Beach, FL. Owen was a long time member of Rogers Heights CRC and currently a member of Faith Community CRC. Private family services were held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
