SCHOUWINK - Mrs. Opal (Stoutjesdyk) Schouwink born March 17, 1932, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Schouwink; granddaughter, Nicole Indgjer; parents, Henry and Marion Stoutjesdyk; brother, AD Stoutjesdyk, sister Jennie Shooks. Surviving are her children, Barbara (Bruce) Snyder, John (Karen) Schouwink, James (Gail) Schouwink; grandchildren, Melissa Dunham (fiancé Chris Franks), Matthew (Allison) Schouwink, Jessica (Brent) Thompson, Candice (Jesse) Elliott, SGT. 1st Class William Scott (Jamie) Rivard, Lindsey Schouwink (fiancé Nick Prince), Jaimee (Dominic) Sherdian, Rebecca Snyder; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park.
