Norrine Ortego Young

Norrine Ortego Young, age 71, of Jenison, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020.   Norrine was reunited with her mother, Dorothy.  Norrine will be lovingly remembered by her children, Melinda (Glen Jr.) Tobias, Jason Clark Young; grandchildren, Alexis Tobias, Glen Tobias III, Autumn Tobias, Kendall Young; brothers, Robert (Teresa) Ortego, Roy (Amy) Ortego; sister, Vicky Ortego-Sosnowski (Bernard Sosnowski); brother, Glenn (Leberta) Ortego; special loved one, Patrick Quillan; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  We lost our dearest mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt.  She was caring and independent and was loved by all who knew her.  She is our angel.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1630 Godfrey Ave. SW, Wyoming, with Fr. Don Weber presiding.  Inurnment will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, March 5, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. (Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m.) at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Versiti Blood Center of Michigan.  Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.
