Norma Stroven

Norma Louise (Bolkema) Stroven, age 83, of  Grand Rapids, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 and now joins her husband of 60 years, Lou; son, Reg Stroven; and great-grandson, Charlie Wright. Norma was a loving, kindhearted and compassionate mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who treasured her family. Many great memories were made with family that will be forever cherished. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Vicki Stroven, Camille and Dave VanDyk, DeVere and Brenda Stroven; grandchildren, Nicole and Billy Wright, Reid and Amber Stroven, Erin and Craig VanDriel, Tyler and Susan VanDyk, Haley Stroven, Riley Stroven; her 8 “greats”, Trigg, Tucker, Clete, Steele, Madi, Paylen, Reggie, Millie; sisters, Revah Smit, Wynona and Henry DeVries; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,  Polly Stroven, Gordon Stroven, Eleanor and Bill Borst, Bob and Beth Stroven; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, 1571 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Nancy Boote and Rev. Len Kuyvenhoven officiating.  Interment  Floral View Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville and also on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Unity Christian High School or to Kindred Hospice.
