Norma L. Olsen

Norma L. (West) Olsen, age 87 of Wyoming, passed away suddenly at Metro Hospital on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, parents, Albert and Odessa West, sister-in-law, Jo West and niece, Ann Bloomstrand. Surviving are her brother, Robert West; five nephews and two nieces. Norma worked in Public Education for 43 years, retiring from Creston High School as a guidance counselor. She enjoyed fishing in Canada. Her homestead was developed into Cross Creek Greens Condominiums development, where she currently lived. Funeral services for Norma will be held 11 am Saturday at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Pastor William Van Tol presiding. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. A time of visitation with her family will be Saturday 10-11am prior to the service. In memory of Norma’s many years in the education system, contributions may be made to the school of one’s choice.
