Nick Kooiker

Nick Curtis Kooiker, age 70, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 31, 2022. He was preceded in death by parents, Nick and Delores Kooiker; sister, Deb Rivera; mother-in-law, JoAnn Droge; sister-in-law, Denise Bruggink. Nick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Joycelyn; children, Nicole and Brian DeYoung (Cooper, Dawson, Cole and Kayla, Aleigha, Isabelle, Blake), Andrea and Ben Westdorp (Hayley, Ty, Ely), Drew Curtis and Rachel Kooiker (Reed, Olin), Seth Kooiker (Jennings, Avett); great-grandchild, Brynlee; siblings, Rick and Robin, Lori and John, Jerry and Georgi, Alyce; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Marge; Joycelyn’s father, Andrew and Cecelia Droge, and siblings, Duane and Cathryn, and John. Nick enjoyed spending time with his family, and he loved his Lord and Savior. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 4, 2022, at North Blendon Christian Reformed Church, 7284 Taylor St., Hudsonville with Pastor Aaron Vriesman officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm at the church prior to the service.
