Nicholas Hunderman, age 89, of Grandville, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Nick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He proudly served in the US Army. Nick was a very talented craftsman who could fix just about anything. He loved life and spending time fishing. He also enjoyed thrift shopping and finding ways to make an extra buck here and there. Nick cherished his family, but ultimately loved the Lord. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, one sister, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Nick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Sharon; children, Dave Hunderman and Vicki, Judy and Bob Jordan, Gordy and Sandy Hunderman; grandchildren, Kristina Hunderman and Mark, Stephanie and Bob Anderson, Danny DeHaan and Beverly, Tonya Berkenpas, Joshua Jordan, Jacob and Veronica Hall, Nicholas and Meg Hunderman, Alexandra and Kevan Hayden, Trevor Hunderman; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer and Judy Hunderman; sister-in-law, Jan and Ed Wierenga; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Jenison Bible Church, 6360 14th Ave. Jenison with Rev. Mark Bouslog officiating. Burial will take place at Boynton Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday, July 22 from 4-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Guiding Light or Corewell Hospice.
