He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Kurt and Lynda Thull, Lisa and Bryan DiGiovanna; grandchildren: Jeremy and Jill Thull, Kate and Corey Williams, Andrew and Brittney Thull, Adam Thull, Nicholas Thull, Alexandria Thull, Anthony Thull, Christopher Thull, Rylee DiGiovanna, Reece DiGiovanna; adopted granddaughter Melissa DiGiovanna; seven great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Gwen and Sara Thull; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Nick valiantly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War doing research in Louisville, KY. He was a faith filled and devoted member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Nick spent 38 years as a teacher for the Godwin Wolverines teaching Science and Math. He also coached cross country and refereed high school and college basketball. During the summer school break, he would drive semi-truck for Roadway, Spartan Nash, and Country Fresh. He thoroughly enjoyed his summers at the cottage on Lincoln Lake with the entire family. Nick loved his college sports, especially his beloved Notre Dame. His greatest joy in life was taking the entire family to Mr. Burger for Saturday morning breakfast. He never missed the grandkids’ sporting events and activities. Nick was very proud to take his family to his hometown of Ramsey, IL for Thanksgiving and summer vacations. He made sure the kids and grandkids received money at Thanksgiving so they could buy their Christmas present and he could see it. Nick came from a huge family of 12 children. He enjoyed yard work and was known to appear unannounced at the kids’ houses to edge the lawn. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 26, 2021 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. I heard about Mr Grandpa Thull tonight. I saw him at Mass every Sunday until a year ago. He always asked about the family, especially my kids, Nick and Mike, who chummed around with Andrew and Adam. He never missed a sports game. He will be missed. May God comfort you as you mourn his loss on Earth but know he is truly at peace in Heaven.

I absolutely adored Mr. Thull. He was my teacher back in 1963. He always had a smile. He was never angry or harsh with anyone. I truly had a crush on him. He was such a lovely, gentle person. My warmest thoughts go out to his family. RIP sweet man.
