Nellie Reitsma

Nellie (Griffioen) Reitsma, age 100, of Jenison, was called and delivered to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She will be deeply missed by her children, Barb and Jim Huizinga, Marilyn and Gary Bylsma, Chuck and Laurie Reitsma, Lynn Reitsma-Levich, and Carole (Don) Reitsma-Faber; 27 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl and Dorothy Reitsma, and Jane Petersen. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Peter Reitsma; sons, Richie Reitsma, Calvin Reitsma, Dale Reitsma; daughter, Karen (Reitsma) Bylsma; grandson, Jonathan Reitsma; granddaughter, Christine (Bylsma) Linker; great-grandson, Alexander Linker; brother-in-law, Roland Petersen; and all ten of her brothers and sisters and their spouses. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 12,  at 11 a.m. at Faith Protestant Reformed Church, 7194 20th Avenue, Jenison, with Rev. Clayton Spronk officiating.  Interment will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, December 11, from 4-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. We wish to thank the staff at Sunset Manor for the outstanding care she received over the last 9 years.  Most of all, we thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His care and the sure promise of eternal life for her.
