Was saddened by this news, but know Nellie is in a better place. I went to school with Nellie & recently was reunited with her & so enjoyed our Christmas lunch with her & other school friends. She was so full of life that afternoon, & optimistic of everything she was going thru. May God bless the family. Donna Ditmar Vosler

To Nellie's family, Although I did not know Nellie personally, I knew her daughter-in-laws and they always spoke of their mother-in-law in the highest regard and respect! What she inspired into her daughter-in-laws have made them great individuals. She may be physically gone, but she'll never be forgotten........ Linda Jolliff

It has been such a joy to reconnect with Nellie the last 5 years and have so enjoyed our group gatherings. What an amazing woman who loved life and loved the Lord. What an example she has been to all of us as she valiantly fought cancer and shared her faith all at the same time. My condsolences go out to Tom and her family with lots of hugs. Dolores Lewis

I close my eyes as I wipe a tear. I just keep wishing you were still here. I will hold all the memories deep in my heart. Though these memories will never part. I close my eyes as I wipe a tear. I just keep wishing this pain would disappear. I didn’t get the chance to say my last good-bye. I just didn’t think you could ever die. I close my eyes as I wipe a tear. All of your love I will always hold near. In my heart and my mind I will never be alone. When my time comes...... I will meet you in heaven! WE LOVE AND MISS YOU! Dearest Tom and family members of Nellie, We were so saddened to hear that Nellie’s cancer reoccurred once again. After 8 years of struggling with cancer, she fought the good fight, she has finished the race and she kept the faith, and has now received her crown of righteousness. 2 Timothy 4; 7. May you find comfort in knowing that Nellie is resting peacefully in the arms of her Dear Savior. Heaven has gained a true child of God. May the heartfelt sympathy of friends and loved ones too, help give you strength enough to bear the loss and may His presence give you strength as your trusting in His power. Turn your eyes upon Jesus look full into his wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and his grace. Sincerely, Jack & Gerry Thornton

Nellie was a sweetheart in high school. When I saw her at the 50th in 2010 she hadn't changed a bit - totally upbeat about life even smiling genuinely while telling me about her battle. I will never forget her smiling disposition. I will always remember her as that joy filled person. Stephen Williams
